                                              Introduction

Mathematics is one of the core disciplines of applied sciences and it has vide applicability in every discipline of engineering, science, business administration and IT. Properly trained graduates in Mathematics and Statistics are also needed for the educational and research sector of the country including the province of Sindh. Therefore, to meet the needs of this region in terms of graduates and postgraduates in this particular field, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is established and the 1st batch was inducted w.e. from 2007.

The degree course has been designed considering all the needs and aspects of latest applicability of the subject in the field of Engineering, Science and Technology. The department offers four-year (8-Term), undergraduate programme for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics BS (Mathematics) and recently the Postgraduate MS (Mathematics) two years programme has also been started from 13-batch, 2013 in the department. Department is also starting Ph.D. programme with intake of 2015 Batch.

The Department offers the following degree programs:

1. Bachelor of Science BS (4 years).
2. Master of Science in Mathematics.
3. Ph.D. in Mathematics.
